  • ASMOSPHERIC PHOTO EFFECT IN ADOBE PHOTOSHOP

First open a canvas and place your image. I did a Cut-Out effect on mine.

    Filter > Artistic > Cutout

This works best if the majority of your picture is black.

Next I placed an image on top of my original.

I chose this textured paper because it had a nice color and had a completely blank surface.

You're then going to go to the Layers option and set it to Screen; making the picture underneath show through.

I then took some designs, in this case a skewed checker board and set it at Screen as well.

After comes a chess image that I made transperant and set to Multiply in the layer options.

In the end I added some splatters around the picture to add balance.

Once again setting them to Multply so that they blended in.

    And now you're finished!
