Chobits
Manga Storyline

Hideki Motosuwa is just a poor student that had failed his entrance exams to get into college. Therefore, he is forced to move to the city and get a job. He has to attend cram school to try and pass the next entrance exam.

One day, while passing a building, Hideki finds a Persocon (personal computers in the form of women) beside a trash heap. He decides to take her home but later on, finds out that she does not have an operating system, and can only say “Chii.” So he decides to name her just that. As the time grows, Hideki learns a bit more about his Persocon and finds out that she is not of any known type. He hears of a rumor about the “Chobits,” which are Persocons with the ability to have a mind. Naive at first, Chii learns more about her environment, the people and life itself.
